hero responsible gaming

A proponent of fair play and player protection since its inception, Microgaming has been a driving force in responsible gaming for the past twenty years.

In 2003, Microgaming co-founded eCOGRA (e-Commerce and Online Game Regulation and Assurance), the online gaming industry’s most trusted and respected independent authority. A management buyout in 2011 reinforced eCOGRA’s independent status, assuring players and regulators of the body’s incontrovertible integrity, neutrality and autonomy.

Microgaming is also a member of the Remote Gambling Association (RGA), which was established in 2005 to serve and protect suppliers and operators, and the Manx e-Gaming Association (MeGA), which aims to maintain the Isle of Man’s status as an international leader in e-gaming.

In 2003 Microgaming was a founding member of eCOGRA, the e-Commerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance. Microgaming actively supports eCOGRA's work and as a software provider, Microgaming works with eCOGRA on new initiatives. Following a management buy-out in March 2011, eCOGRA has reinforced its independent status.

eCOGRA undertakes rigorous on-site assessments. Microgaming is very proud to have undergone that process and has been awarded eCOGRA's Certified Software Seal, certifying that Microgaming's products are developed to the highest industry standards.

In addition, Microgaming's commercial operators are eligible to apply for eCOGRA's Safe And Fair Seal, which underlines the operators' commitment to responsible online gaming.

Supporting our local economy and community is hugely important to us, which is exactly why we became a member of the Manx e-Gaming Association (MeGA), whose objective is to maintain the Isle of Man’s position as an international leader in e-gaming. Our reach may be global, but our focus on corporate social responsibility begins at home.
